What is a “pop-up” market?

A pop-up market is a temporary retail space set up in areas with high foot traffic at a specific event and location, such as a farmer’s market. We consider this the highlight of our business program because it’s the best opportunity for kids to present their business ideas to the public in an interactive and immersive environment.

Will my kids be selling real things at the market?

Yes! Each and every kid has the option to develop a product or service of their own that best fits their interests, talents, and their resources. Throughout the classes, we will guide the kids to develop their business ideas and find a way to make them unique. Given the different products/services chosen by each kid, please notice that the materials fee involved in making the product or service will NOT be covered by Biz4Kidz.

How much help is needed from the parents?

It depends on the product or service your kid choose to sell, as well as their age. As part of the business plan development, we do ask each kid to come up with 2-3 options to discuss with his/her family in order to decide the best-fitted option. Generally speaking, parents are mostly involved during the product-making process as well as preparing for the market day. On the day of the market, we will provide canopy and table space for your product/service, while parents are responsible for bringing the necessary materials to fill the space. A supply list will also be given during the class.

What is your make-up & cancellation Policy?

We certainly understand plans can change.

For the make-up class, please choose an alternative class time within the same week to attend (classes conducted within the same week will cover the same materials). If none of the alternative class times work, please get in touch with us either by phone/text 949-449-7181 or info@ockidz.com to arrange the best plan.

For cancellation, we ask for 4-week advance notice before the first class (by emailing info@ockidz.com) for 100% refund, or 2-week advance notice before the first class (by email) for 50% refund. Please notice that there will be no refund once class starts.
