About Us
Founded in Orange County, CA, Biz4Kidz is an educational program designed to teach young kids entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and business strategy in a way that is engaging, hands-on, and practical. By providing a structured yet creative environment, we help students organize their ideas, think critically about economics, and develop an entrepreneurial mindset—empowering them with the skills and confidence to navigate the business world from a young age.
Learn by Doing—An Immersive Experience
At Biz4Kidz, we believe that real learning happens through experience. Our project-based approach allows students to develop, test, and launch their own business ideas, gaining valuable skills in problem-solving, iteration, and collaboration. Instead of focusing on memorization and repetition, students experiment, take risks, and learn from failures—just like real entrepreneurs.
Through hands-on activities, students explore market demand, resource management, and financial responsibility while bringing their ideas to life. Success isn't measured by a grade, but by real-world results, from profit and customer feedback to personal growth and resilience.
Building Life-Lasting Skills
In a rapidly evolving, global and digital economy, entrepreneurial skills are more important than ever. Beyond launching a business, our students develop essential life skills such as:
✅ Leadership & Independence
✅ Creative Problem-Solving
✅ Resource Management
✅ Financial Responsibility
✅ Resilience & Adaptability
These skills go beyond business—they prepare students for any career path and equip them to face real-world challenges with confidence. At Biz4Kidz, we are committed to helping young minds thrive in an ever-changing world, setting them up for success in both business and life.
Our Founder
The story of Biz4Kidz began during the COVID-19 crisis, a time when families across the world were forced to adapt to a new way of learning. For Summer Hu, this period became an unexpected opportunity—one that would ignite her passion for business education and reshape the way children approach financial literacy.
As a mother, Summer took on the role of homeschooling her children, determined to go beyond traditional subjects. With a strong background in finance and a deep desire to nurture critical thinking and problem-solving skills, she introduced her daughters to the world of business—not just as a theory, but as a real, hands-on experience. She quickly realized that learning became far more engaging and meaningful when kids had the opportunity to see its real-world impact. By allowing them to step into the shoes of both a consumer and a business owner, she unlocked their excitement and curiosity about how money, trade, and entrepreneurship shape our daily lives.
Summer earned her Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of California, Irvine, in 2020, after completing a double major in financial economics and political science at the University of Rochester. Her career took her to the fast-paced world of international banking in New York City, where she gained invaluable insights into the global financial system. But it was her move to Orange County, California, that truly solidified her commitment to empowering young minds.
Passionate about making financial literacy accessible to all children, Summer dedicated her time to volunteering with nonprofit organizations like Junior Achievement, working to equip the next generation with essential skills in money management, workforce readiness, and entrepreneurship. Seeing the impact of experiential learning, she knew there was a gap that needed to be filled—one that would bring financial education to kids in a way that was fun, interactive, and practical.
That vision became Biz4Kidz, a program designed to teach children not just about money, but about the mindset of entrepreneurship, problem-solving, and creativity. Through engaging workshops and hands-on experiences, Summer is on a mission to help kids build confidence, make smart financial choices, and see the world of business as something they can actively participate in—starting now.
"It's never too early to start thinking like an entrepreneur. When kids see themselves as capable of running a business, managing money, and making decisions, they develop skills that will serve them for life." – Summer Hu
